Ashley's wild night

Ashley doubled over in pain last night while she was cheering at a high school game, so I ran her to the ER. Bloodwork was a little high, but other than that, they couldn't figure it out. So she was sent home with pain pills and is to wait a few days to see if it's a virus. She sees her doctor on Tuesday to recheck her blood.

We were in the ER for over 4 hrs. Ashley was really uncomfortable at first. She got violently sick to her stomach and felt a little better after that. She was dehydrated so they gave her fluids and also gave her something for the pain and something for the nausea (sp?).

Within a little bit Ashley was feeling NO pain at all. She was so giggly and squirrely from the meds. She sat up in the bed and was doing the princess parade wave to doctors and nurses she could see through her window and singing to her hearts content. I was cracking up! LOL

She had me take a couple of pictures of her with my cell phone, so I thought I'd share them here:
This first picture she told me to take to send to Jay's phone. He stayed at the game with Austin and kept calling to see if he needed to come there. Ashley said to send him the picture so he'd know she was still alive. (lol)

This next picture is as her pain got worse. She also hated having the IV in. They said she was dehydrated so they pumped a lot of fluids in to her. She got an entire bag in and didn't go to the bathroom for over 9 hrs, so she MUST have been dehydrated.

This next picture is as she was all loopy from the pain meds. She was so funny giggling and laughing at everything. I was cracking up. She kept saying "take my picture, take my picture". I was laughing so that's why it's so fuzzy.

This last picture is as Ashley was getting sleepy & annoyed. They removed the iv bag when it was empty, but kept the needle in her arm. She was like "uh, hellooooo. didn't they forget something here?" She wanted me to take the picture for evidence in case her arm fell off. LOL

The good news is that she's home. The bad news is that we don't know really what caused all the pain. Hopefully we'll figure something out on Tuesday at her doctor appointment.
