Ringo Update

Took Ringo to the vet to have his neck checked out and it was worse than we originally had thought. The vet shaved the hair on his neck to get a better look. Here's a picture:

It nearly made me cry when I saw that. It's so severly bruised. There was hair in the cut and the vet said his body will help move that out, but she did put him on an antibiotic because sometimes the hair can cause an infection as it's coming out. She shaved a couple of areas on the other side of his neck and there is severe bruising there too. The vet said it appears he was facing the other way to start with (which means he was choking) and he managed to get turned around. If he hadn't, he wouldn't be here. Thank God he got turned!

I have now ordered break-away collars for all 3 of our dogs. I don't want to risk this again.
