Let there be light....

...and wiring....and windows.....and a vent....and.....

I thought maybe it was time for another room addition update. Let me start off by saying I LOVE THESE GUYS! They made me cry today. I know the weather has not been cooperating at all. It just hasn't and there's not a lot we can do about that. They have been working when it's sprinkling or lightly raining, but we have still been behind schedule. I knew the room would not be finished in time for Austin's Confirmation, and honestly I was ok with that. I just kept saying "Promise me that somehow, some way we can get it done in time for Graduation. I have plans for this room (this is where the food will be). Please, please, please. I will be eternally grateful if it can be done by graduation!" Well today, they announced that not only will it for sure be done by Graduation, but, it will also be done in time for Confirmation. I honestly did cry. Crying Into Tissue

See, I am a sensitive person. LOL

I was just so thrilled to get some good news for a change. It's been stressful and crappy around here for a while. For starters, the rest of the bedroom furniture that we ordered was supposed to be able to be picked up recently and when I called to make sure it was in before we drove down there, we found out that no, it was not in...and wouldn't be in until the end of May. Shock 2 Being PMS week, I was instantly in tears. My dear sweet husband hates to see me upset and knows this is a big deal to me so he has been on the phone talking with everyone (Customer Service, Merchandising, Dept. Manager & even the Store Manager). All expressed frustration and apologies for the dufus who sold those items to us. We were told he only worked for them for two weeks, because they started finding out all kinds of mistakes he was making and promising people things that he shouldn't (like when I specifically asked "Do you promise it'll be on that date? If not, I'll choose a different bedroom set?"). Unfortunately, they are now trying to correct all mistakes he made during that time. "Darlene", the main person Jay has been talking with, told Jay that she has found that our items have been shipped and have been on the ocean for 11 days (what ocean are they taking for it to take that long...the Indian ocean?) She said their records show it should be to their store the first week in May and as soon as it arrives it will be immediately shipped to our house. If we have not been contacted by May 1st we are to call to see why.

So, I'm trying to stay positive, and hearing the room will be done has me feeling so much better. Here's current pictures of the room:

I took the first picture looking through our back door window. I was raining pretty good and there were those poor guys all out there working. Have I mentioned that I love these guys? lol

On Saturday one guy brought his little boy along and I thought "I sure hope he isn't thinking I'm going to babysit", but there was no worry. That little boy worked harder than most men do. His dad says he loves to come along and help work and is usually asking if he can skip school (he's in Kindergarten) to go to work with Daddy.

Finally a break in the rain...although it was a lot chillier than they had forecasted.

After the roof was finished, they got it shingled.

Jay cut out all the windows...

...and then Chelsea's boyfriend, Clint, came over and helped Jay trim the edges and get them all cleaned up. We so appreciated his help!

The windows and the door to the garage arrived this morning and those are now installed (Yeah!). The other 2 doors aren't in yet, but will be soon.

Then Jay and the electrician worked on light placement, outlets, switches and other things like that. The electrician will also do the wiring for the ceiling fan and the vent fan.

So that's where the building is at now. To show you just how versatile these guys are...

Here they are helping Jay catch one of the mini horses when she got out. LOL
