Shoes, glorious, wonderful, beautiful shoes. Oh how I love shoes...new shoes. They give me the same feeling I always had the first day of a new school year. I had a new bag, new pencils, new notebooks, new, new, new. Full of possibilities. Who know where I would go or what kind of adventures I'd have that year. The options were endless with a door wide open with all my new things. That's how I feel when I get a new pair of shoes...endless possibilities and the potential for new adventures.
Yea, I know...they're just shoes. But buying a new pair of shoes is a huge deal for me. I normally have to special order my shoes. You see, wide balls of my feet. In other words, I have fat feet. Double E fat. I actually had a salesman one time ask if he could just wrap up a couple of shoe boxes for me to wear. He's lucky I wasn't armed. You don't harrass a woman who's having a shoe moment. That can be deadly.
Recently I have found that I can sometimes find shoes that will fit me at DSW.
Other times I might get lucky at Payless Shoes.
Rarely I will find shoes at Famous Footwear, but it does sometimes happen.
Today I was on a mission. I needed shoes for Graduation. Black sandals to be exact. I found some cute slip ons that I really liked at DSW, but was concerned that attempting to wear a heel all day is just asking for pain. So I headed to Payless to find flatter sandals. I Found them right away...and on clearance for $5. Score!
It was so great. I ended up getting another pair of shoes that I wasn't shopping for today, but that were just too darn cute to pass up.
You just gotta love shoe shopping!
