I graduated from high school at the age of 17 in 1981, so I was predominately a child of the 70's. I found this list and it brought back so many fun memories!

You Know Your A Child Of The 70's if:

*You wore a rainbow shirt that was half-sleeves, and the rainbow went up one sleeve, across your chest, and down the other. Looooved that shirt!
*You made baby chocolate cakes in your Easy Bake Oven and washed them down with snow cones from your Snoopy Snow Cone Machine. I had the oven, but I've never been a fan of snow cones, so I didn't have the machine
*You had that Fisher Price Doctor's Kit with a stethoscope that actually worked. Mine even came with candy (like tic-tacs) that were the pills.
*You owned a bicycle with a banana seat and a basket. I actually still have my original Schwinn bike in our garage.
*You even owned roller skates with metal wheels. Nope I had the real deal with rubber wheels
You thought Gopher from Love Boat was cute (Admit it!) I did, but I wanted to be Julie
You had nightmares after watching Fantasy Island. No way, I would think about what fantasy I could come up with and then wished I could really go to that island.
You had rubber boots for rainy/snowy days -remember Moon boots (you then advanced to Duck Shoes in the 80's) Duck shoes....LOL I had those silly named shoes
You had either a "bowl cut" or "pixie," not to mention the Dorothy Hamill" because your Mom was sick of braiding your hair. How traumatic when people thought you were a boy. I had a pixie and yes people thought I was a boy, because I also had no chest.
Your Holly Hobbie sleeping bag was your most prized possession. I didn't have one of those, and now I feel left out.
You wore a poncho, gauchos, and knickers. My crotched poncho was totally cool and I had a crotched hat to match it
You begged Santa for the electronic game, Simon. No, brain games that make me think too much make my brain hurt, which is why I preferred Yahtzee. Still do
You had the Donnie and Marie dolls with those pink and purple shredded outfits. No Donnie & Marie, but I did have every Barbie ever made. My mom was even sweet and made me an entire shoebox full of barbie and ken outfits one year for Christmas.
You spent hours out back on your metal swing set with the trapeze. We didn't have one, but the people across the street did and let us use theirs. You had to be careful sitting on that metal seat during the summer
You had homemade ribbon barrettes in every imaginable color. My hair was too short....pixie, remember? Thanks for bringing up that traumatic experience...again.
You even had a pair of Doctor Scholl's sandals (the ones with hard sole & the buckle). I did. They were navy blue which is my favorite color
You wanted to be Laura Ingalls Wilder really bad; you wore that Little House on the Prairie-inspired plaid, ruffle shirt with the high neck in at least one school picture; and you despised Nellie Olson! Yes, Yes (well, I had the shirt, but never wore it in a school picture) and Yes!
You wanted your first kiss to be at the roller rink. Ssshhh....it was
Your hairstyle was described as having "wings" and you kept it "pretty" with the comb you kept in your back pocket. By my junior year, I had wings baby. And I loved my blue comb
You know who Strawberry Shortcake is, as well as her friends, Blueberry Muffin and Huckleberry Pie. Yep, but my younger sisters played with them. I just sniffed their hair
You carried a Muppets lunch box to school. I got my lunch at school. No lunchbox for me, but I did love the Muppets show. The Swedish Chef and the two old men cracked me up!
You and your girlfriends would fight over which of the Dukes of Hazzard was your boyfriend. No fight...Bo was mine!
Every now and then "It's a Hard Knock Life" from the movie,"Annie" will pop into your brain and you can't stop singing it the whole day. That was my daughters' favorite movie when younger. We took them to a live performance of it and when they were a little older, they were in a community theater production of it, sharing the part of Tessie (the orphan that says "Oh my goodness, Oh my goodness). It's still one of my favorite movies.
YOU had Star Wars action figures, too. No, but my brother did. Every one of them and every space craft in the collection as well.
It was a big event in your household each year when the "Wizard of Oz" would come on TV.
Your mom would break out the popcorn and sleeping bags! No sleeping bags, but I got so excited because it was one of the rare nights when I got to stay up late on a school night. And when we got to watch it in color...it was magic.
You even asked your Magic-8 ball the question: "Who will I marry. Shaun Cassidy, Leif Garrett, or Rick Springfield?" Or Donny Osmond, or Bobby Sherman, or David Cassidy, or......
You completely wore out your Grease, Saturday Night Fever, and Fame soundtrack albums. Grease is probably still my all time favorite movies. I wanted to be Olivia Newton John so bad
You tried to do lots of arts and crafts, like yarn and Popsicle-stick God's eyes, or those weird potholders made on a plastic loom. God's Eyes I was able to master, but the potholders were too tough for me.
You made Shrinky-Dinks! Yes, I did make plenty of the originals. And, the first year Jay and I were married, he was still a college student, so we were on a very tight budget. I made all the ornaments for our tree that year. Several were shrinky-dinks. Nothing says "classy" like a shrinky-dink nativity ornament.
You used to tape record songs off the radio by holding your portable tape player up to the speaker. You mean others did that too???
You couldn't wait to get the free animal poster that came when you ordered books from the Weekly Reader book club. A few times I used my babsitting money to order an extra poster.
You learned everything you needed to know about girl issues from Judy Blume books (Are you there God, It's me,Margaret.) How else were we to learn? Good girls didn't ask questions about things like that.
You thought Olivia Newton John's song "Physical" was about aerobics. I did, and I bought my own leg warmers and thought about becoming an aerobics instructor. Yea, I dream big.
You wore friendship pins on your tennis shoes, or shoelaces with heartor rainbow designs. The more friendship pins you wore, the more friends you had. I embellished and added extra pins. Sad, I know.
You wanted to be a Solid Gold dancer. I actually did go to college to be a dancer for a short time. Getting on Solid Gold was originally my first goal.
You had a Big Wheel with a brake on the side, and a Sit-n-Spin. My brother and sister had those.
You had subscriptions to Dynamite and Tiger Beat!! Yes and the page-size poster of Shaun Cassidy got me grounded. He was wearing a shirt unbuttoned 3 or 4 buttons and my dad said it wasn't a decent poster for a girl to have on the wall in her room. I had to take it down and I couldn't go anywhere with my friends that weekend. It's ok though Shaun. I still loved you secretly.

We're you a child of the 70's Do you remember anything else from that era?
