I luvs Me Some Bangs

I went in for a trim today and ended up doing a pretty major cut. Keep in mind, my hair grows very, very, v e r y s l o w l y. So if I cut it, it's a huge decision. I had decided to cut it at the beginning of Summer, but my stylist agreed that I'd look like Orphan Annie since my hair gets curlier when the temperatures and humidity rise. Since that's not the look I was going for, I decided to leave it longer. It worked fine because I could pull it up if it did get hot, but honestly I rarely had to do that this year, because we had a great Summer that never did get too hot.
Today I had my scheduled appointment and planned to go in for a trim, as I have for the past few months. I sat in the chair and my stylist says "So, what are we wanting to do with it?" Without even blinking an eye I said "Lets go shorter". "Are you surrre?" She questioned. "Yep. Let's do it" I said with conviction that even surprised me. When she asked how short, that's where my wild woman streak ended. She pointed to my jaw line and I said "Whoa. Let's not do anything I might regret tomorrow." We agreed on just barely below my shoulders when my hair is straightened, which means above my shoulders if I leave it curly. I also decided to go back to having wispy bangs.
I know...I'm reckless and outta control.
So, it's done. I like it...I think. It always takes me a day or two to get used to a new style, so the final verdict is still out. But, I do love having bangs again. I haven't had any in several years and I like flipping them. They are just the right length. I can wear them down or sweep them to the side. It's all about options baby. The hair length is wierd for me. It's been a long time since my hair barely brushed my shoulders and it's kinda bugging me. I want it to make-up it's mind - either stay to the back or stay to the front, but quit going back and forth. It's like a child going outside, inside, outside, inside non-stop. Just make up your mind already!
*pause* find your happy place
Jay likes my hair, but he always likes when I do something different to it. I think it's the "it's almost like your someone else" that's exciting to him. As long as he doesn't call me Bambi or something, I'm ok with that. hehe
To see the new cut, just take a peek over there at my profile pic. ------->
