Wow, it's been quite a few days since I had a chance to come in here and vent about whatever crazy thing is on my mind. Did ya miss me? LOL I did get a couple of emails asking why I hadn't been on here. Ahhh, you love me. You really love me! hehehe

Life is why I haven't been on here. January has been crazy busy and it doesn't seem to be slowing down any time soon. In a nutshell, we've had basketball games 3-5 nights a week (sometimes 3 games in a row on the same night), we've watched Austin play, Ashley cheer, Ashley & Cheslea dance, had confirmation classes, replacing a lost license (Chelsea lost hers in Florida), getting Austin his school permit, going on a school visit with Ashley to Grandview (I am so impressed with this school!), back/hip/butt injuries to deal with, errands to run, house to clean, laundry to do, meals to cook, and in the midst of it all to try to get some time for sleep. Thank goodness that the away games are usually an hours drive away. That gives Jay and I some quality time alone while driving. We can actually catch up!

In the past week Chelsea took her biology exam at DMACC to see if she qualifies for the vet tech program and Ashley participated in Distrtict Speech....and they both earned spots in the Spring school play, which brings me to my point of the day...

Who's children are these really? They can NOT be mine! Chelsea took biology, chemistry, geometry and anatomy. Could you see me trying to take those? Nooooo way! Remember Mr. Tryon? He can remind you of my love for biology. LOL And Ashley being involved in speech. Where did that come from? I am the one who refused to do speeches in high school and got a zero for them - and I was ok with that. She doesn't have to do speech. She wanted to...she willingly volunteered for it and she's doing awesome at it! They performed 2 routines today at the district competition and they are going on to the State competition for one of them! And as far as the play, Ashley prefers to be in the background, so she doesn't try out for any major parts in the play (never has) but she loves doing them. Chelsea tried out and earned a part...with lines to learn, lots of lines. I did a couple of school plays when I was little, before I learned two important words "stage fright". After that, there was no way I would get up on a stage.

I'm not sure who these children are. Were they switched at birth? If they really are ours, then lucky for them they got other than their mamas genes. They are both outgoing, articulate, fun-loving, friendly, compassionate, eager, confident and not afraid of a challenge. With qualities like those, the door to their future is wide open, and I for one am eager to see what it holds.
