So, today Jay & I went shopping. He was such a good boy and said "Yes Dear" when I asked if he liked something. LOL Actually, he could care less. As long as he has a place to lay down, that's all he wants.
We (I) found a bed we (I) liked. Problem is, our old bed had drawers underneath. hhhmmm...what to do. Yep, we need a dresser! Oh and without the bookcase headboard, where will we put our alarm clocks? hhhmmm...what to do. Yep, we need nightstands!
So, here's what we got. Sorry they aren't great pictures. I took them with my camera phone. We could have brought them home today, but we have a crazy weekend, which means the pieces would sit in our living room all weekend, and into next week while we move the other things out of the bedroom. We chose to pay and let them deliver. Their first date available is 3/5 and I am very ok with that. Gives us time to get everything done. Plus, when they deliver, they also help set up...bonus!
This first picture shows the bed. I loved the 4 poster look of it, but also the way the slats make it unique. Behind the bed you can see the top curved arch of the mirror that goes with the dresser we got. I like how it matches the curve in the bed slats. We don't know yet if we will get the night stands that are shown in front of the bed. I like them, but they are bigger than I'd like. When we get the bed in our room, I'll measure to see how much room we have (which will probably be plenty) and if so, we'll get the nightstands. If they are too big, I'll find some elsewhere.
This next picture shows the other pieces. For some reason they look really dark in this picture, but they are the same light oak as the bed. We did not get the stand up chest on the right. We did get the dresser on the left and the armoire (which will be so great for hiding the tv. I hate having a tv in our bedroom).
Newness is also good in when it comes to hair. I got my hair cut recently and Ilike the many different layers, just not sold on having it straight, which is how my stylist styled it. I found a new gal in Ames that I LOVE, but darn it all, she's moving to southern Iowa in May. *sigh* Anyhow, it's shorter than I've had it in a while, but next time I may go even a little bit shorter. We'll see.

Love the furniture...especially the bed! I have always liked that style. Your hair pic didn't show up (unless this is just true on my computer.)
Thanks. I love the bed and can't wait to have it here!
hhmmm...it's ok, it's not a great picture. Austin took it with my camera on my phone and those never turn out great, so don't worry, you're not missing much. LOL
Will try again! Thanks for sharing the pics. As you know,we do like your choice of bedroom sets and will serve you well for many years. Regarding hair - if it is what you like - that is all that is important, looks good to me. I am still trying to decide with mine - so know what you are going through. Maybe we should get together and go to same hair dresser to decide-ha! You are special no matter what you decide....
