I'm black and blue!

OUCH! Mad DANG IT! Very AngryOH MAN, NOT AGAIN! Yelling Sunny Beaches! Grrr

And the list goes on and on. What list is this? It's the list of words Jay and I have been saying the past few nights. We are definitely struggling getting used to our new bed. We love it and it's very comfortable, but those bed posts are EVIL and we keep forgetting they are there!

These first few nights I haven't sleep well, as I posted before. So I'd get up 2-3 times to go to the bathroom or to get a drink of water. Of course I'm not even really awake when I go and most of the way I think I walk (or shuffle) with my eyes closed. I'd come back in to go to bed and "wham!" I'm smack my toe. Or "crash" I'd hit my knee on it. Those room darkening drapes really do work, but geez!

By the middle of the 2nd night, I got better about gauging it and my poor hip became the target. I have bruises on top of bruises on my right hip.

Last night I was so tired that I collapsed into bed around 10:15. Jay was still up, which is unusual for us. He's usually the one in bed before me. He finally came to bed and "BAM!" He hit his knee on the post. A few expletives later and he was in bed still grumbling.

This morning I decided to wake my dear husband up early for a little "quality" time and he said he needed to go to the bathroom. You can already see what's coming, can't you. Yep...."WHAM!" "This stupid (bleep), (bleeping), (bleep) (bleep) bed!" I got the giggles, which did not help things. The more I giggled, the madder he got. Pretty soon I was laughing out loud and he sat there staring at me like I had lost my mind (he actually looks at me like that a lot). He said "Just what is so funny?" I had no idea why I found the thought that my poor husband had just been injured and was in a cursing competition with our bed so hysterically funny, but I did. You know how you get the giggles and then you can't stop. Well, my laughter evolved into that. After a few minutes Jay said "That's it, I'm getting up." And believe it or not, he stubbed his toe on the post and he tried to stomp out of the room! I nearly fell out of bed from laughing so hard!!!

I think I'll go to the store today and buy some bubble wrap. That'll help!
