Our New Bedroom

As I have said, we finally got a new bed, complete with frame (including headboard & footboard), dresser & mirror, and nightstands & armoire which will be delivered later. The only problem I am having is that I keep waking up afraid I'm going to fall out of bed. LOL Our old waterbed frame had the wood frame surrounding the mattress. I never realized it before but I would slide my foot over to that frame during the night and it would let me know where I was at in the bed. I guess it goes along with the whole fear of falling that I have or something. With this bed, I will slide my foot over and there's no frame. My leg dangles off the side and it wakes me up because I'm afraid I'll fall out. Silly? Yes, I'm sure anyone reading is thinking it's time for me to get some therapy...ok admit it...you've already had those thoughts, right? I'm sure it's just something that'll take some getting used to, but I'm so tired because I wake up several times a night. Sleepy

Last night Jay & Austin hung the new curtains in our room. We have had vertical blinds in there since the house was built in 2000. The problem with those is that you can't have the window open or they clatter and bang together if there's even a slight breeze. I ended up getting room darkening (to block the light from our security farm light outside) pinch pleated drapes and already I love them. The blinds always let some light through, but these worked great. Getting them up however, proved to be quite a challenge for my men. Jay was swearing and I think he even made up a few new words. Pissed

Here's some pictures from the room:
Jay & Austin starting to assemble the curtain rod
This is where the swearing started to occur. I wanted the pull cords hidden, so they had to try to figure out how to get that accomplished for me. Good thing they love me. LOL
By this time in the process, Austin had given up and went to watch the ISU game on tv. Poor Jay was so frustrated and had worked up a sweat to the point that he tossed his hat and shirt. LOL
But as you can see, the got it done and it works awesome!
Here's how it looks with the drapes closed.
And here is our new dresser.

Now I'm just anxious for the rest of the pieces to arrive and then it'll be done. Raise The Roof
