Addition Update

The weather has finally be cooperating for the guys to do a little more work on our new room. I have given up the hope that it will be finished in time for Confirmation, but I have cookies for the guys now to use as a bribe to please have it finished in time for Graduation!

At the last update, I showed pictures of the concrete being poured. There has finally been progress since then.

Here is Molly standing on the new floor. As you can see, the heat coils have been laid...yea! I'm really excited about this heated floor. We will only keep it warm enough to keep the room around 50 degrees, but no more going outside on an icy deck to get in the hot tub...wooohoo!

Within a couple of hours of those coils being laid, the cement truck was back up and the 2nd layer of concrete was poured.

Then yesterday they came and tore off the siding on our house. They were originally going to cut out the section, but decided it would be much easier to just remove it all and replace what was needed when they got the room done.

Now just this morning they are putting up the walls, trying to get as much done as they can before the rain comes in later. Go faster guys! Go faster!

After they got a section of the walls up, they moved our hot tub from beside the deck to it's new home in the room. There is a new 8' tall door in the wall leading to the garage, so the hot tub can be tipped on it's side and moved in/out through there if necessary, but obviously it is a much easier idea to move it in there now before the walls are finished.

Ok, I gotta run....time to take them their work faster bribe....er, I mean, more cookies!
