Your Gonna Miss This

Ashley & Chelsea left for the FFA state convention yesterday morning and won't be back until tonight, so Austin was the only one home last night....and he was in a really crabby mood! I have no idea what the problem was, and when asked he'd just say "nuthin". It doesn't happen with him very often, but it's still no fun no matter how infrequent. When he's in a bad mood he pouts and whines and gets in victim mode "I can't do anything right."

Honestly, I couldn't wait for him to go to bed. I just kept thinking "let him go to bed, get a good nights sleep and it'll all be fine in the morning."

Anyone who knows me well, knows I like the country singer Trace Adkins.

He's one of the nicest guys in music today and has a deep love for God, family and our country. He is also one who will not apologize for sticking to his principles and he won't compromise his integrity for anything.

And yes, I do think he's sexy, but do you know why? It's not because he's like 6'7" (or about that tall anyhow), and it's not his eyes or his sly smile, or his amazing deep bass voice. Yea those help make him handsome, but not sexy. To me he is sexy because I saw him on a talk show one time and he went on and on about his wife and his daughters. This is a man deeply in love with his family, and I do find that sexy. Anyhow, I had my radio on last night after Austin was in bed and I was working on the computer. Trace has a new song out called "Your Gonna Miss this". Here's the lyrics:

By the time the song was over, I was in tears. It made me realize that soon, very soon, way too soon, I'll be saying I miss it too. I'll miss the fighting. I'll miss the grumpy kids. I'll miss the whining. I'll miss the pouting. I'll miss the hurrying to game after game after game. I'll miss the mountains of laundry that need to be done. I'll miss the mud tracked in by countless shoes of teenagers that stop by. I'll miss the noise. I'll even miss the stomped feet and slammed doors. Yep, I'm gonna miss this.
