We had a storm that went through the other night, dropping 3+" of un-needed rain. The wind that we got tore part of the roof off of the mini horses barn, so, since the guys can't be in the field, they are busy repairing the barn roof today. They aren't going to reshingle it, they are going to finish it off by putting a steel roof on it, like we had done to our big barn a couple of years ago.
Plus, it's bath day for Ringo. He has a vet appointment this afternoon. He'll get his final re-check on his neck injury to make sure it's all healed up properly and he's due for his rabies shot and they'll check him for heartworms.
It's been muddy after all the rain we had, so I knew he needed a bath before going. I've been putting it off though. Ringo always stands really good for baths, which is a good thing, because it's always a challenge to keep his long hair from getting all matted when washing it...even when using a detangler or conditioner. If his neck is good as new again, I can set up an appt to get his hair cut, which will make things much easier.
