Track season

It's winding down. Neither Ashley or Austin enjoy track. Ashley enjoys the bus rides and the social time, but all that's interrupted by having to run. Austin doesn't enjoy any of it, but does it to have something to do to keep in shape since he can't be on the golf team until next year.

Austin had his last meet this past Monday. Ashley has one meet left on Thursday evening, but last night they had Senior recognition. Since several meets have been cancelled other schools have also missed out on their Senior recognition nights, so they recognized all seniors in our conference. Our school by far had the largest number of seniors involved in track....16. This picture was taken as her name was called. The 2 girls beside her are good friends who are also out for track for the social aspects and tolerate the fact they have to run. LOL The one in the maroon shorts is going to the same college as Ashley next year, and the girl in the black shirt will be going to the same college as Chelsea, so that'll be fun for them both.

The meet was called due to lightening and they will finish it prior to the start of the scheduled meet on Thursday. We had a couple of wicked storms come through. We had a little over 3" of rain, but we're fortunate. Places like Alden & Iowa Falls had over 6" of rain. Can you imagine?

I love storm clouds. I just find them fascinating and beautiful. The way they change and move and create new canvas' to view. Amazing. Here's a couple of shots of the sky last night as the storm moved through:

Cool, right?
