CORE

I belong to a weight loss forum and have been a member for almost 3 yrs, and a moderator for our forum for almost a year. I have gained some wonderful friendships and love the ladies I have gotten close to. A group of us are about the same age (all within 10 yrs of each other) and we've all been struggling with the scale going in the wrong direction. What we did in the past worked, but as soon as we stopped, there goes the scale needle again. So, that told us what we did was a "diet" not a lifestyle change, which of course, that's what we need to do.

So, we ladies have decided to do Weight Watchers CORE program together. I have done WW flex before and it's a great program for someone other than me. LOL I got too good at it, and I knew how to manipulate it to my advantage. I would eat veggies and other zero or low points food and then since you are supposed to eat the recommended points each day, I'd eat crap to use up my points. Not how the plan was designed and guess what...I didn't lose any weight! DUH me!
Duh

Without going into details, CORE is eating healthy foods only. However, because this is to be a lifestyle change, you are allowed a certain number of points for the week for non-core foods (like bread). I LOVE bread....I mean I seriously love it, and could eat a sandwich every day and never get tired of them, so not having bread will be a challenge, no doubt. But, there are recipes for breads that are CORE and you can make them in a bread machine (bonus!), so I bought a bread machine at Wally World. I am so excited! LOL

I was concerned that CORE wouldn't work for me since we are gone several nights a week, but have found there are several core recipes that can be frozen. Quite often I will make up several recipes for the family and put them in single serving size containers and freeze them. Then if some or most of us are gone to an event, those who are home can still have something good to eat. I can do the same for myself.

Will this work? Who knows. LOL But I'm going to give it a shot. I'll let you know how I and the other ladies do.
Thumbs Up
