Ok, so I'm going CORE right? But I also have a family to feed, right? It makes it really interesting when you haven't gone grocery shopping in over a week to figure out what you're going to make for supper, especially when you are putting some restrictions on it.
Thankfully I found enough to make a yummy sounding supper, in my humble opinion.
Tonight we are having:
Butterfly pork chops
Baked potatoes
Corn on the cob
jello (ok, this is actually leftovers, but since I don't like jello, I really want it gone)

Normally we would grill our chops (I love BBQ season!), but alas! our grill is out of LP. No really Jay, it's ok that you let that one get by you...this time {hehehe}. I didnt want to heat up my kitchen by baking them...ok, the truth is that using the oven gets it dirty and then that means I have to clean it. Cleaning my oven is hard work! I mean, I have to figure out how to lock it (that's a tricky bugger), and then I have to press "clean" and then I have to endure several hours of stinky. It's just easier to not use the oven.
So, I pulled out my handy-dandy crockpot. I really do love my crockpots. I have 3 of them and use them at least 1-2 times a week.
And cleaning them is so easy now that I have found one of the greatest inventions known to man: crockpot liners. Yes I know the package says Slow Cooker liners, but who actually calls it a Slow Cooker? Not me. But, seriously, have you tried these things? Oh my gosh, they are wonderful! All you do is pull one out of the box and put it in your crockpot.

Easy-peasy-lemon-squeezy! To clean, all you do is remove the liner and toss it in the trash. Then I give my crockpot a quick wash and we're done. It's so great I've actually heard angels sing. No, really, I have! You need to try these if you haven't already. It will be a life-changing moment. You can find them where you find baggies.
Ok, so that takes care of the meat. In the 2nd crockpot I put the potatoes. Again, I don't want to clean the oven....uh, I mean....heat up the kitchen, so I wrap the potatoes in foil and pop them in the crockpot on low all day. It's great.
The corn will be cooked on the stove later (I don't mind cleaning the top of the stove LOL).
So there you have it, our supper for tonight. What are you having that's yummy???
