#1 - My haircut... I did go in to the stylist. I took my pictures I made showing me in different hairstyles and I took a picture of me taken last summer showing my hair curly. Plus, I went in wearing my hair straight. That way she saw all the options. We sat and discussed what I like and don't like about my hair, as well as what I want and don't want in regards to my hair (no poodles on my head thank you). When all was said and done, it was decided that I would basically leave my hair the way it is - for now. During the summer my hair gets pretty curly and there's nothing I can do about that. I can straighten it, but it lasts an hour, maybe two, before the curls start creeping back in. The stylist agreed that shorter hair will make curls tighter, which is not what I want. So, I will try going a little shorter in the Fall, but will leave it longer in the Summer. I can pull it up, so that way it's not so hot, and she did an awesome job of layering and thinning it. When I looked at the floor with all that hair laying there, I couldn't help but think "You could almost cover an entire other head with that much hair". I really do have THICK hair on this head. I know, I know, it matches the thick head I have - beat you to it, naner, naner. So, unless you feel my hair, you probably won't even be able to tell it's been cut...for now. Since it looks no different, I didn't take the time to post a new picture.
#2 - Our surprise... No, I still won't tell you what it is, but I will post in detail probably this coming Sunday - maybe Saturday night. But, to quote my mother "You might hear what I'm saying, but are you really listening?" (see mom, I DID listen) Some of you "heard" what I wrote, but did NOT listen. Stop asking if I'm pregnant!

#3 - Anna, our student from Spain... The language barrier has definitely allowed for some funny moments! The best one was when Ashley said she had goosebumps and Anna looked at her so funny. So Ashley kept trying to break it down and finally went online to some free translation site and found the words for goose and bumps. She put them together and Anna said "Why do you say you have a goose and a bump on your arm?" Then it dawned on us, putting two words together give it a totally different meaning than what those two original words meant. Duh us! So Ashley typed in the word "goosebumps" and VOILA! She got the right word and Anna laughed and said "Oh! Ok! Now I see."

So there you have the updates. You're day is now complete. Feel free to move around the cabin.
