We have 4 dogs, and just like our children, they all have very different personalities. Ringo is the lone wolf. He loves hanging out with people, but is too cool to play with the other dogs. He completely and totally ignores them. Could care less if there were 1 or 100 dogs around. He acts like he can't see any of them.
Next we have Gabriella. She is our princess. She loves to cuddle and is very tender-hearted. She likes to play fetch, but is content to snuggle and look up at you as if she knows exactly what you are saying to her.
Molly is very shy and is scared of strangers. If you come towards her too quickly, she will bite out of fear, but if you let her come to you, she'll shower you with shy kisses and a tail that you've never seen wag so fast. She doesn't like to rough house, but loves to play with her ball.
Tucker is the baby and is a total ball of energy. He's a complete SPAZ! He does a 360 in the air when excited. He loves to cuddle, but if it's play time then cuddling is over! He leaps like a deer when he runs and is a total clown. He constantly makes us laugh.
I love when I get the dogs wound up and they play with each other. No matter what is bothering me, I always settle down and get a huge smile on my face (and usually some laughter joins in) when watching their antics. If you have a pet (or pets) take time to play with them, or sit and watch them at play. If you don't have any pets, and are not in a position to be able to have one, try going to a park to watch the dogs playing there. There are dog parks popping up all over. Or volunteer at a shelter by playing with animals or taking them for walks. You and the animals will both benefit from the interaction.
You'll be so much happier, relaxed and stress-free. And you'll definitely thank yourself later.
