More Or Less Siblings?

While searching the web, I came upon an article talking about sibling relationships and it asked if you would want to have more siblings than you currently have, or less. So I thought about it for quite a while and here's what I came up with:

I actually think I'd like to have more siblings. Now, any of my siblings currently reading this, don't get offended by this. I love you all, I really do, so as we used to say "take a chill pill" and read on. hehehe

For starters, I'd like to have older siblings, so I didn't have to be the guinea pig for new parenting ideas growing up. Knowing what I know now about parenting, those poor oldest child(ren) are pretty much raised through complete blind faith and a whole lot of trial and error. There are times I was actually surprised they survived! I also think it would have been cool to have an older sister who understood what I was going through at certain times and who could help me through it. I think having an older brother would have been great to protect me from any bullies and boyfriends (although Dad did an overly good job of that sometimes).

I have 1 brother and 2 sisters, and we are all very different people. It constantly amazes me when I think about how different we all are, and not just physically (I have curly hair, they have straight. I'm short, they are all taller)Sometimes I feel like I am so different from them that it takes me back to a period of time when as a child I was convinced I was adopted. They have interests that are so far from any I have that I wonder if perhaps it's due to our age differences, locations where we live, or just who we are. So, I guess another reason I'd like more siblings is that perhaps there would end up being another with some of the same interests I have, or the same likes and dislikes.

Another reason I'd like to have more siblings is that the odds would increase that I would have the chance to have at least 1 live closer to me. As is the way of the world these days, jobs tend to take us further away than they used to. We 4 kids are spread out in different states, and with job responsibilities and family obligations, it makes it hard for all of us to get together at the same time. As it is now, we get together twice a year. I wish it could be more often, but in reality, it's not able to be. Having several more siblings would not only mean the chance for me to have one or more living close enough to get together more frequently, but also the chance for my children to have their cousins living near them to get to be with them more often.

But the main reason I'd like to have more siblings is because I absolutely LOVE the ones I have, and to have more of them would just be even more of a blessing. When we all do get together there is so much love, fun, and laughter that I hate to see it end. With more siblings it would even be that much more filled with those things, and that would be awesome!
