How Soon Until We Can Vote?

Honestly, I am so ready for this election to be over. Each time there is an election I find myself thinking "Ok, this is as nasty as the campaigns could ever get", and the very next time there is an election, I find myself saying the same thing. I get so tired of all the negative "He Said/She Said" garbage. Tell me what YOU think and what YOU hope to accomplish, not what the other person did or didn't do in your opinion (or in the way you word it to suit your needs).

Since our government is supposedly so willing to help the people, then here's a way they can help....lets create a new law that says that if you say a single negative thing in regards to your opponent, there is a consequence. Like we get to thump you in the forehead, or flick your ear, or pull a nose hair...Oh yea, that'd be a good one, because you know that brings a tear to the eye and makes it so you end up having to add a quarter to the swear jar.

Hey, now there's another idea....every time a politician says a lie, or something ridiculous, they have to add money to the "You Got Caught Being Stupid Jar". Think about it, our country's deficit would be taken care of in no time. Why we could have America in the black before Christmas!

Time to do my civic duty. I'm going straight to the top on this one! I will go all the way to Washington to talk to the big dogs about making my ideas a bill.

Speaking of "bills" remember this classic from School House Rock?

I'm just a bill.
Yes, I'm only a bill.
And I'm sitting here
On Capitol Hill.
Well, it's a long, long journey
To The Capital City.
It's a long, long wait
While I'm sitting in committee.
But I know I'll be a law someday
At least I hope and I pray
That I will,
But today I am still
Just a bill.

LOL, nose hairs and stupid jars... you are brilliant! :-D I have all those school House Rocks videos. That one old bill at the front of the line in the pic is crackin' me up... just how long has that one been trying to get past?

We vote by mail and sent ours in yesterday. :-D

Come by my blog and help me celebrate my 100th post! :-)

Go to Ohio...I hear you can register to vote and then vote 73 times all in the same day!

*eye roll*

Well, the whole "he said/she said" thing is indeed one vicious cycle, isn't it? Sheesh. I just LOVE the "You Got Caught Being Stupid Jar." That's most brilliant idea for budget reform I've heard yet! :-)

And the School House...Rocks!! :-) Did you know you can get ALL those original shows on one DVD? My kids have it...it's so much fun to watch! That stuff never really leaves your head. It's still in there from the 70's. Weird.
