Project 365 ~ Week 6

Basketball games ruled our week this week, and we spent many hours in different gyms. With all the bad weather we've had this winter, many games were postponed. Getting schedules to mesh between the two schools can be a challenge as the season goes on, and therefore, there are many days when there are back-to-back games for all the different levels.

1/31

One of my favorite breakfasts - Baked Oatmeal. It starts out soupy, but firms up while baking. And when it cools you cut it into squares and it's the perfect grab-and-go meal or snack. Yum!

2/1

Today I started at 4:00 going to niece Jenna's game. She is in 8th grade and is #0 in the middle of the picture.

When that game was over, I watched cousin Jordan play in his game at 6:00. He is in 9th grade and is #13 in the middle of the picture.

Austin's game immediately followed Jordan's, and this picture shows Austin (on the right) and the rest of the team waiting to take the floor as soon as the game ends. Sorry they all are so blurry. When I zoom my camera on my phone, the pictures almost always are really blurry. :-/

2/2

Tucker is one of the most sensitive dogs I have ever seen. He can just sense when someone is not feeling well or is sad. On my bad flare days, he climbs up and cuddles with me and never moves (normally he's a super hyper puppy!). After Gabby's surgery, he would cuddle up to her as if to say "it's ok. I'm here."

2/3

"Woohoo! We love when our humans make the trip to the specialty store to buy our dog food. They always buy each of us a bully stick when they go there!"

2/4

More basketball. This was another make-up game and we headed to the varsity game after this was done. This picture shows Austin on the left (#10) getting ready to take a shot.

and here is...ready for the fast break...

2/5

Today I had to take Gabby to get her stitches out. The roads were YUCK! At times it was hard to see where you were on the road because it was all white. As you can see, I am completely alone on the road (which is why I was ok with stopping to take a picture LOL). I am so ready for Spring!

2/6

The last couple of storms have caused huge drifts, and one of them has covered our front door and over half of our front picture window for a while now. The poor dogs can't see out "their" window and therefore, any noise they hear (whether inside or out) could mean a potential bad guy here to attack us, and that means the dogs must bark wildly...forever!

Thankfully today, it was nice enough out that Jay broke through the drift and removed the snow from in front of the window. The dogs were beyond thrilled and laid there on the oversized ledge for a long time.

All done. :)

Good grief, that's a lot of snow. Now I don't know if I'd like that much snow on the ground for days and weeks at a time. I guess you're used to it. Your sweet puppies are precious. I'm glad they've got each other.

Great pictures of a week with lots of basketball and lots of snow.

You DID have a lot of basketball games! What fun thinking for a gym fulling a cheering and whistles. :)

We got two feet of snow this weekend and have berms, not drifts! My girls could actually walk off of the snow we piled in the sloping front yard right onto our cars; it's that deep. Crazy! I think you've inspired me to take a few pictures!

Thanks for sharing your week!

Um... awesome...

Just to share a thought with you... I too had FM. God delivered me from it this past August. It was amazing.

Baked oatmeal. Sounds good, could you give the recipe. We have lots of snow too...but not as much as you although we're supposed to get more the next couple of days. Yuck
I'm missing basketball this year as neither of my girls are playing. Hopefully, next year the youngest will play again. I was thinking how good your pics were of basketball, mine never came out like that.

Have a great week.

I love baked oatmeal! Mine is more of a bowl food though. How do you make yours that it can be cut into bars?
Great week!

I'd like the recipe too (as soon as I typed that I thought - Dana you are getting around to these blogs - I'll bet she POSTED that recipe already, so I checked & you have. Thanks!).

Baked oatmeal is the best. We always have it for Christmas brunch, with chocolate chips!
BB games and sweet doggie pics!
Fun. I've missed you the last weeks somehow :(
