Project 365 ~ Week 11

This week seems to have just flown by, and I'm not sure why. There's been nothing major going on, just lots of little things that require my attention, which sometimes makes you busier than 1 big job.

The best news is that the snow is finally melting! Woohoo! The worst news is that it is causing lots of flooding problems around the state and it's only going to get worse I'm afraid.

Ok, on to our week:

Sunday - 3/7

Every year I get the dogs new collars because with all the dirt and mud that comes with living on a farm, they are pretty gross looking after a full year. Today I did a little shopping and got these. However, things are so muddy right now with the snow melting that I'm waiting a while to put them on.

Monday - 3/8

More progress on my new laundry room. Today the new floor was laid. I would love to eventually have wood floors throughout the house, but it doesn't seem that practical to spend that kind of money for a laundry room. Well guess what....this that you see is actually linoleum! It seriously looks just like a hardwood floor. I LOVE IT! Oh, and laundry room pics will come at a later time once it's all done (which I'm hoping will be this next week).

Tuesday - 3/9

We lost electricity for about 6 hours today, starting around 5am. No idea what caused it, but thankfully I didn't have anywhere to go this morning since no electricity means no water from the well for a shower.

Oh, and people wanted to see a picture of my new hair cut that I hate so much, so here ya go! :-P

Wednesday - 3/10

After classes each day, Ashley goes to work at an assisted living facility for those with early signs of dementia, all the way through the final stages of Alzheimers. She said that from time to time people bring dogs in and the patients love seeing them, so we had it set up for Tucker to come for a visit. The nice part is that while he spent 3 hours there, I go to go to the really nice mall only a mile away.

Don't they look so cute going off to work together? :)

Thursday - 3/11

Buh-bye old washer and dryer set. My new front load set was installed last night. Woohoo!

Friday - 3/12

We went out for supper to celebrate Ashley & Chelsea's birthday, but I'll post pictures of that on Monday. After supper, they went out with friends and we came home and played a board game along with Austin and his girlfriend "K". It's called "You Might Be A Redneck If..." and oh my goodness I don't know when I've laughed that hard. It's funny on it's own, but "K" decided she was going to read all the questions and do all her talking as if she were a redneck. We laughed because she sounded more like Forrest Gump than a Redneck, and then she'd get the giggles and couldn't even talk. Soooooo funny!

Saturday -3/13

They are flying North! Yea Baby!!!!!

So how was your week? Be sure to head over to Sara's through the link in the sidebar to check out other 365 pictures.

Sneaky, sneaky, with the cheater photo of your new haircut. LOL

New washers are the BEST! :-)

Sounds like a fun game.
(We had a "You know you're an MK if..." segment at our Skit Night during conference.)

Yeah for the coming of Spring. Boo for flooding.

Showing your haircut in the dark is kind of cheating silly! Plus we can't see the great highlites you talked about! :)
I can't believe that floor is linoleum. It looks fantastic! Can't wait to see it all put together.
Game sounds fun, but I think her reading would've been funnier too!
Have a super week!

Oh, you're funny to take a picture of your new haircut by candlelight like that.

Congrats on your laundry room makeover. You'll feel like a new woman once it's all done! I've got front-loading machines, and I adore them. Of course, I'd love 'em even more if my laundry room was...oh, I don't know...12'x12' or so! Ha! In my dreams...

Yes, many little things throughout a day add up time wise, but often feel like nothing has been accomplished. But, don't they say life is in the details?
I am envious of your laundry room, well not really. I am happy for you!
Haircut...ha ha ha...We're still waiting!
When our dog was alive I took him to the nursing home. It is so true, they LOVED it.
Great photo of the geese.

Looks like a pretty full week to me. The redneck game sounds like it is set up for lots of laughs.

My husband was all sad at the idea that the geese were going to be flying north. I am NOT sad about what that means!
