Next Blog

I have read about different bloggers who loves scrolling through blogs by clicking the "Next Blog" link at the top of each page, so I decided to try it out for myself.

I found it very interesting that I had to go through 9 blogs before I even got to one english speaking blog, and it was someone in another country selling little childrens toy jump ropes with plastic handles and calling them exercise equipment, which I admit, did make me laugh. The very next blog was back to non-english, as were several after that.

A couple of the non-english speaking blogs did create some curiosity in me. For example, on one blog I did see the word God and wondered if they were speaking positively or not. On another blog I saw this picture:

Can you imagine working for THAT electric company? I think I'd end up quitting on my very first day. I'm not a fan of puzzles and that's just nasty looking.

I spent about 15 minutes scrolling through and I only found 3 english blogs in all that time. I realized I could spend hours just trying to find 10 blogs I could read. For me, it's just not worth the time or the effort. I'd much rather click on a link to a blog that comes recommended from someone who's opinion I would listen to.

For those that enjoy the scrolling, I can see why that link would be a good thing. But, it's just not for me. What about you...do you scroll through the "next blog" list? If so, do you like it or not? Why?

I only used the "next blog" once; I have too much fun lurking and getting to know "friends of friends"...and that's what I'd rather spend my very short time on the computer doing! ;-)
