Project 365 - Week 2

I am a little late on Sunday to get my pictures posted, but we just got back about 4 hrs ago from a quick trip to Minnesota. Anywhoooo...here we go with another week of pictorial memories:

Jan 5th
No school yet today, so my niece & nephew came over for some Wii fun. Do you just love the pink recliners? Those were in our camper, but as Austin grew, he outgrew the bed that is made when you fold down the table. The recliners were taken out and a futon was moved in. Jay and Austin like playing Wii & PS2 sitting in the recliners better than the bistro chairs, so even though they clash horribly - they remain.

I put together 2 batches of "Cake In A Cup" for the girls to take with them when they left. Since Chelsea was just moving out, she got her batch of mixes in a container, with the measuring cup and measuring spoon she'll need attached with ribbon. She also got a new big cup to make her cake in. Ashley got those things when she moved to her dorm last Fall, so this time she just got a refill in a baggie.

I ran some errands today. I came home to this mess. In this picture you see a chewed up empty pizza box (we had pizza the other night and the box was sitting, waiting to be taken out, next to the container that houses the garbage. You also see a garbage sack box that has been torn open and bags pulled out. Also a sack with a shirt I was going to return today (but forgot to take with me). There was also more garbage strewn throughout...in the living room, bathroom and in my office. Of course, since there were only the furbabies home when this occured I know that at least one of them did it. My guess is that all were involved in some form, but no one is fessing up.

Austin had a basketball game tonight. He is fun to watch because he has great knowledge of the game and can predict what will happen in given situations on the court. I am excited to get to continue to watch him as he matures and improves with his skills.

This is in the yard we used for our boarding kennel. For our backyard we have a 4' fence and there are drifts in a couple of spots that are high enough so the dogs can go right out of the yard. All are ok if they do that because they won't leave the acreage. All that is, except Tucker. Therefore, he has to be on a chain when he goes outside. The kennel yard has a 6' fence, so once a day I take the dogs over there so Tucker can run around off leash. He LOVES it!

Jan 10th
Today we made the trip to Minnesota's Mall of America to watch our college daughter's dance team in a competition there. Their outfits were so beautiful.

So that was our week! I can't wait to have a chance to go around and see what fun things everyone else did.

I don't miss those days of coming home to find that the dog got into the garbage or whatever we left on the counter. Sure miss the dog though!

Beautiful pictures! What a full and busy week you've had, too. Whew! I get tired just reading about it :-) What a great idea to make the Cake In A Cup in big batches and just have ready to scoop and zap. Excellent gift idea.

Great pictures. The furbaby mess was so funny (well probably because I didn't have to clean it up)
