We're Home From The County Fair

The county fair is over
The ribbons have been won.
Trophies have been given out,
Competitions are all done.

The animals were judged
And now they've gone home.
Back to their barns
Where they're free to roam.

The winning photos & clothing,
cookies, pies & new chair
Are all getting ready
To go on to the state fair.

We packed up the camper
By the truck it was led.
It feels good to be home
Can't wait to sleep in my bed.

The fairgrounds are now empty
All the pens have been scooped.
I'll write more about it later,
I'm going to bed ... I'm pooped!
