Project 365 ~ Week 32

Sunday - 8/2

This little kitten and a littermate were either orphaned or abandoned by their mother. The littermate died the next morning, but Chelsea rescued this one and has been bottle-feeding it. Here's a shot of the little guy sucking on the bottle during one of the times I fed him (Chelsea had finals this week, so I had to "kitty-sit"). He's so tiny, but so far is doing great! He has been named "Oliver".

Monday - 8/3

Today we moved Chelsea into her new apartment. Wowsers did she have a lot of stuff! Since there is no elevator in the building, we were very excited that she has a first floor apartment. ha!

Tuesday - 8/4

Today I went to the all-natural health food store to stock up on a couple of the supplements I take. I normally order them from the clinic I go to, but the store recently moved to a new location and doubled its size, so this gave me an excuse to go check it out.

Wednesday 8-5

I sat and watched a crop duster going over a field south of us. They are fascinating to watch, although I also get nervous worrying about their safety. This picture is a little hazy because I used the zoom lens since he was over 1/2 a mile away from me.

Thursday - 8/6

Today I had a doctor appointment to see if my blood tests showed what was causing all the swelling and joint pain I've been having. It did show I don't have arthritis or gout, but unfortunately it didn't show anything conclusive either. The mystery continues.

Friday - 8/7

The tassels are on the corn. Now it's just a matter of waiting for the ears to fill out.

Saturday - 8/8

Ashley & Chelsea both came home today. Jay took all 3 kids out to the barn to sort through which pigs they will be taking to the state fair on Tuesday. After that was done, all 3 kids headed to the lake to ride the jetski. Here the girls are hamming it up for the camera....so much more fun to say "hey girls smile! I need a 365 picture" and have them be silly like this, than to get a "mom why do you have to be so weird" face from Austin. LOL

The next couple of weeks, my pictures will be from the Iowa State Fair. We will take the kids' FFA show pigs to the fair on Tuesday, which is also when we'll start staying down there. I'll try my best to give you a good look at what our state fair is all about. For now, head over to Sara's through the link in the sidebar to see all the other Project 365 pictures!!

The kitten is adorable and so tiny. I'm glad you were able to rescue the poor little thing. I love the name. Oliver is my newest nephew's name.

My husband would love to be a crop duster or any job that would require flying. But I'm thankful that his actual job keeps him on the ground.

Have fun at the fair this week!

Such a sweet little kitty, hope he continues to grow stronger each day!
Sorry they still haven't figured out what's going on with your health, here's hoping that they can come to a conclusion soon..
big hugs to you.

WOW! That kitten is super tiny. Oliver is a good name for the orphan.

One of my summer jobs as a teen was picky baby ears of corn to be pickled for Ross. Ugh! That was one hot sticky job. By the end of the day I was yellow w/pollen.

Great pictures. Blessings, SusanD

Will Chelsea be taking the kitten with her to her new apartment or do you "inherit" him? :-)

That looks like a HUGE health food store! I think it's funny that the ones here carry sugar-laden breakfast cereals in bulk. LOL Right next to the brown rice and organic oregano.

At least the tests ruled out what it's NOT; that's good, right?

Looking forward to pictures and commentary from the state fair! Love fairs! Eat an elephant ear for me, 'kay? :-)

"Oliver" will be going with Chelsea to her apartment, but not until after we get back from our 2 weeks at the state fair. While we are gone, she has a friend that has volunteered to keep him at her house.

Wow...that's such a long time to be away at a fair. You must enjoy camping and I imagine you see some of the same people from year to year.

Chelsea is blessed to have such a helpful family. And what a tiny little kitten!

Have a good couple weeks!

BABY KITTY!!!!!

The shot of the Dr.’s office: priceless. This just makes me giggle. But I do hope your medical mystery is kinder to you . . . joint pain is no giggle-matter. :(

YEA! Tassles on the corn. It’s a beautiful thing.

I truly envy how faithful you've been to this project. I had such high intentions for it, and then WHAM. Oh well. I still have a lot of pics I guess I could post randomly.

I enjoyed seeing snaps of your life this week! :-) The kitten is precious...and so are the camera-friendly girls! lol

My daughter recently rescued a kitty and found it a home, she's allergic.
I shared your other blog with my cousin. So many similarities, she is being treated at the Cleveland Clinic.
So are you taking the read underwear to fly at the state fair;)?

I hope Chelsey's friend will take good care of Oliver while you're gone. He is precious.

Can't wait to see your pictures from the fair. I would love to be there.
