My newest addiction. Have you tried these things? Oh my, they are so good! And of course, since they have the word "veggie" on the bag, that convinces me that they are good for me and therefore, it's ok to eat the entire bag at once.
Another view of "heart attack hill". This is from the very top. If you notice, you can't see the bottom...that's because it goes almost straight down, which isn't nearly as bad as having to go straight up.
This is the hog barn, where we spend most of our time. Now that our kids are only showing pigs in FFA, I thought we'd have more time away from the barn, but nope...we have a nephew, a cousin and the kids of some friends who are still showing in 4-H, so back to the barn we go for their shows.
When the draft horses have a show, they rope off the streets for safety reasons, and people line the streets to watch them come through. They are so massive and amazing to watch.
Murphy's Law says that no matter where Dena sits along a parade route (and no matter which parade it is), the security horse will ALWAYS park itself right infront of her, thereby blocking her from having a good straight-on view. *sigh* Seriously - every time.
What are you hungry for? I'm 100% serious when I tell you that whatever it is you're looking for to eat, you can and will find it somewhere on the fairgrounds at one of the many concession food stands.
They had a really nice parade honoring Veterans. I loved watching all the flags blowing in the breeze. Very moving.
Well, that's all I have for today. I'll see what I can come up with to show you tomorrow!
By the way, I want to thank everyone for the comments, emails & texts I received with well wishes for me. I appreciate that so much! I feel better today, which is what makes my whole "mystery" so frustrating. One day I can feel great like today, and tomorrow I have no idea how I'll feel. Hopefull it'll be another great day, but it could also be a day like Saturday. I'm really looking forward to our trip soon to hopefully figure this all out. Again - thanks so much for your kind words, thoughts and prayers!!
