Friday Fill-In

ffi

1. Sweet dreams is what I always said to my children after giving them a kiss and hug goodnight .

2. Speaking in front of a group of people is frightening, especially for me.

3. Silliness is highly under-rated.

4. We live on a farm, so no trick-or-treaters for us this Halloween.

5. Outstanding or not, I find that I still believe my children performed the best of any of the other kids present..

6. A real medical diagnosis is what I want right now!

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxing at home alone, because the guys will be gone to a football game, tomorrow my plans include an exciting day of grocery shopping, and Sunday, I want to watch NFL football all day!

Friday Fill-Ins #140

1. I feel ready for our dog to get her stitches out tomorrow, so we can get rid of the annoying cone around her head.

2. Watching our daughters compete in a horse show (which is what we'll be doing on Labor Day) is always fun.

3. Right now, I can hear these things: our ceiling fans humming and crickets chirping through the open windows.

4. Next weekend is the first home college football game and I'm glad we will get to watch our daughter dance on the sidelines and at half-time.

5. The last time I took a nap was just this afternoon...and it felt great.

6. I'm looking forward to camping with family and friends at the lake this Labor day weekend.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to the first high school football game of the season and watching my son march, tomorrow my plans include hanging out at the lake and watching the kids ride the jet ski and Sunday, I want to do even more chillaxin'!

Friday Fill-Ins #135

1. It's time for planning what groceries I'll need to get for when we are camping at our State Fair in another week.

2. An Iowa farm; it's not a bad place for raising a family.

3. I must be getting old. Tonight I mentioned "Gilligan's Island" to my son and he had no clue what I was talking about.

4. That very moment when you become a mother for the first time, is the best thing I have ever known.

5. My husband is simply my best friend.

6. The last time I laughed really loudly was watching my dog tip it's head side to side (almost upside down) as my son played his trumpet .

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to bed early since my husband will have the guys over for poker night, tomorrow my plans include baking casseroles and freezing them in individual containers to take in our camper, and Sunday, I want to enjoy the last day of my daughter being home before we move her to her new apartment tomorrow (she has been home for 4 days between when one lease ran out and another started)!

1. She had a great smile, faith, courage and love for her family. Farrah Fawcett will be missed by many.
2. Molly, our rescued bichon is by my side, always.
3. I know this: Just when you think you have something figured out, a curve ball will be thrown.
4. I know I can hear Jesus talking to me, but first I need to keep quiet & be still.
5. These words apply to me: if it can be dropped, lost, or forgotten, I will do it.
6. Unfortunately this past week was horribly, miserably hot, but at least it wasn't raining, and the sun was shining.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to taking my son to get his new glasses, tomorrow my plans include going to our niece's wedding, and Sunday, I want to relax the day away while the guys are gone to a golf tournament!

1. There's no place like home.

2. My favorite thing for dinner lately has been anything cooked in a crockpot.

3. With 4 dogs in my house, throughout the day you will inevitably hear: bark! bark! bark!

4. A nice long walk is one of my favorite ways to exercise.

5. After this past week, I could really use some good news.

6. When all is said and done, you must take care of yourself if you wish to take care of others.

7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to a relaxing night at home, tomorrow my plans include outdoor yardwork (if the weather cooperates), and Sunday, I want to watch my niece Jenna at her dance recital!

1. If we had no winter I would dance and dance and dance for joy.
2. The birth of a child is a perpetual astonishment.
3. If I had my life to live over I'd want the exact same family I have right now.
4. Hopefully the sun will shine again inside of four and twenty hours.
5. If you've never been thrilled by the snuggles of a puppy, you are missing out.
6. To be interested in the changing seasons means to appreciate God's handiwork.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to going to some graduation parties, tomorrow my plans include taking my son to get his drivers license and Sunday, I want to attend commencement at the high school!

1. The first rule of working in an office and getting along is to always bring something yummy to snack on. Everyone will love you. :)
2. I don't like clams.
3. When I think of carnivals I think of cotton candy and carousels.
4. Daylilies are my favorite spring flower.
5. Things on my desk include pictures, my cell phone & there's always a diet coke handy.
6. Enduring a cloudy, rainy day makes me wanna snuggle under a blanket and take a nap.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to finishing up the orientation and tour at University with my daughter, tomorrow my plans include watching my other daughter at her college dance team show and Sunday, I want to enjoy the afternoon celebrating a cousin's confirmation and to welcome my son back home from a school trip!

1. I'm blessed, I'm grateful, I feel undeserving.
2. Why do I have so many scrapbooking supplies and not a single book done?
3. How does this GPS thingy work, anyway?
4. Every morning, I put sunblock on my face (yep, even in the winter. I never knew how very important it was until the dermotologist told me about the damage winter sun can do).
5. I consider myself lucky because I am married to my best friend.
6. One day we’ll see Jesus (although it'd be sweet if I can see Italy first LOL).
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to spending time with one of my daughters who will be home from college, tomorrow my plans include absolutely nothing (first time in a long time that I can say that) and Sunday, I want to get signs made to take to the state basketball tournaments where hubbys team will play on Monday night!

Friday Fill-In #112


1. Give me Spring and I'll happily tolerate my allergies to be able to enjoy the sunshine and warmth.
2. Whenever I'm in a grumpy mood, Michael Buble's "Feeling Good" always makes me feel better.
3. I wish there was more time in each day to do the things you wish you had time for.
4. I don't eat many exciting things, so I honestly can't remember what was the last thing I ate that was utterly delicious.
5. To live in this world requires great faith that there is more to look forward to than all the negative that we have to deal with right now.
6. Other than this one, OCD-ism is the last blog I commented on.
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to cheering on the girls basketball team that hubby helps coach, tomorrow my plans include taking hubby and son shopping for new clothes to take on their upcoming Spring Break golf trip, and Sunday, I want to meet with our daughters to get their tax papers.

1. Please don't tell me I can't watch Mamma Mia ever again...I'll cry.

3. The color gray makes me want to take an anti-depressant!

5. If my life had a pause button, I'd pause it when hubby and all 3 kids were here with me.

And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to seeing my daughters and our friends at the high school basketball game, tomorrow my plans include watching my son at his Show Choir competition, and Sunday, I want to start saying my prayers that the groundhog does NOT see his shadow on Monday!

Friday Fill-In #107


1. Enough with the snow and the bitter cold! Enough, enough, enough!
2. Looking out at all the snow causes me to be conflicted. It IS beautiful, but it's so cold and icky to drive in.
3. I've been craving heat and warmth.
4. My husband makes me laugh.
5. I wish I could go to a tropical island next week. But I'd rather go now, and not have to wait.
6. Summertime has been on my mind lately. A lot!
7. And as for the weekend, tonight I'm looking forward to relaxing in the hot tub, tomorrow my plans include going to my sons basketball game and then to watch my daughter dance during half-time and on the sidelines of her college's basketball game and Sunday, I want to hopefully take a long winters nap!
